## New in this release

### Message templates

The **[Message template](/v1/docs/administration-message-templates)** page now enables you to create and manage canned message and WhatsApp templates.

#### Canned messages

The functionality of the previous **Message template** page has been moved to the new **Canned messages** tab on the **Message templates** page.

#### WhatsApp templates

The **WhatsApp templates** tab has been added to the **Message template** page to enable you to create, submit, and manage your WhatsApp templates. Previously, you had to work with your account manager to create WhatsApp templates.

## Special Instructions

Enable the following permissions for users who will manage the viewing and editing of canned message templates and WhatsApp templates:

- View Canned Messages
- Edit Canned Messages
- View WhatsApp templates
- Edit WhatsApp templates
