The Billing Unit historical report tracks monthly usage-based and recurring charges for each billing unit, helping you analyze costs, support chargebacks, and simplify client billing.
Introduction
The Billing Unit report provides a monthly summary of all charges linked to the billing units in your contact center. It compiles usage-based costs (such as inbound and outbound calls, Dialer usage, and Speech Analytics) and recurring charges (like phone number fees and user licenses) for each billing unit. Charges are grouped by category and align with your monthly invoice, helping you see exactly how much each business unit spent during the selected billing month.
After selecting a month and running the report, results appear in the Billing Unit report table at the bottom of the Create report page. You can download each unit’s detailed cost breakdown as a CSV file for further analysis.
Use Case
The Billing Unit report helps finance and operations teams track costs for different parts of the organization when they share the same contact center. For example, a company might assign separate phone numbers and users to each brand or department as billing units. Running this report shows the full monthly cost for each unit, allowing accurate cost allocation, internal chargebacks, and better visibility into spending across the organization.
